The Hertie School of Governance’s Gender Equality and Sexuality (GES) Club is proud to announce the “Cracking the Ceiling Conference” 2017, a conference open to participants from all over the world.
The current century has been witness to the women’s emancipation and progress of women in different walks of life. While considerable success has been achieved with regard to securing the private and public freedoms of women in the world, women’s participation in the economy continues to be hindered due to a varied mix of factors.
Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, this conference hopes to foster a discussion on the recent trends in the way gender and work interact in the current global economy and produce relevant ideas and potential solutions for addressing the wide gap in labour participation rates all over the world. We invite students, academics as well as young professionals to join the debate!
